Terms of service
The terms for using Florida Permit Alerts: the website, the daily email and the dashboard. Subscribing or using the service means you accept them.
Effective October 28, 2026.
What the service is
Florida Permit Alerts is a daily email of public building-permit records, tagged for one trade, in one territory. A territory is what one public feed covers: a county or a city, never a county that a city feed does not reach. One subscription is one trade in one territory.
Each row carries what the public portal published, enrichment we add from third parties (contractor business details, property-appraiser data about the parcel and, for some owners, a phone number or email) and a link to the source record. The dashboard shows your territories, your recent digests and your billing.
Trial and billing
The first 7 days cost $1, charged at checkout by Stripe. On day 8 your plan starts: $99 a month for Daily alerts or $249 a month for Exclusive zips, per trade per territory, billed monthly by Stripe to the card you gave at checkout. We never see the card number.
Cancel any time from the dashboard or from the Cancel link in any email footer. Cancelling stops the next charge, and the digest stops from the next run. We do not refund a partial month, and the $1 trial is not refunded once a digest has been delivered to you.
Exclusive zips
The Exclusive zips plan adds up to 8 zip codes you choose that no other subscriber in your trade receives from us while your plan is active. The permits are public records that anyone can read from the city or county feed; exclusivity is over our subscriber list, not the data. It runs quarter to quarter, use it or lose it: a lapsed or cancelled plan releases its zips, and zips are sold only where a feed publishes them.
The data
Permit records are republished as-is from public open-data portals. Enrichment comes from county property appraisers, Google Maps and third-party people-search data. Any of it can be wrong, incomplete or late, and a portal can change or stop publishing without notice.
We give no warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and no warranty of any business result. A permit is a public record, not a customer. Florida Permit Alerts is not affiliated with any county, city or building department and is not an official source. The statute tools on the site are not legal advice.
Owner contact data
Where a row shows an owner phone number or email, it comes from third-party people-search data matched by name and address; it can be wrong or belong to someone else. Verify before relying on it.
If you contact anyone using data from the service, you alone are responsible for complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act, the National Do Not Call Registry, CAN-SPAM and any other law that applies to you. You agree to scrub numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry before calling or texting, and not to use the data for automated, autodialed or prerecorded calls or texts without the prior express written consent those laws require.
Your account
The service is for licensed contractors and the people who work for them. You must be 18 or older. The data is for your own business: you may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the emails, the dashboard or anything in them, or use them to build a list or product for anyone else.
We may suspend or close an account for abuse, including misuse of owner contact data, sharing digests outside your business, or pulling the data in bulk. Fees already paid are not refunded when we do.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Florida Permit Alerts is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost business, arising from the service or the data, however caused. Our total liability for all claims together is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
If we change these terms, the new version is posted at this address with a new effective date, and a change to prices or billing is emailed to current subscribers before it takes effect. Using the service after a change means you accept it. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. Questions: hello@floridapermitalerts.com.
