Florida Permit Alerts

Privacy policy

What Florida Permit Alerts collects, why, and who else handles it.

Effective October 28, 2026.

What we collect about you

When you subscribe: your email address, the trade and territory you chose, any zip codes you picked, and the customer and subscription ids Stripe assigns you. Payment card data never touches us; Stripe collects and stores it.

When you use the site, our host keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser, page, time) for operations. When you email us, we keep the email.

Cookies and tracking

One session cookie signs you in to the dashboard after you open an emailed sign-in link. It holds a signed session id and nothing else, and it expires after 30 days.

On public pages we load the Meta pixel to measure our advertising. It is never loaded on the dashboard, the unsubscribe page or the signup confirmation page. When you buy a plan we send Meta a SHA-256 hash of your email through its Conversions API so the purchase can be matched to an ad; the address itself is not sent. There are no other analytics or advertising cookies.

Who else handles data

  • Stripe, for checkout and billing.
  • Resend, for sending email.
  • Vercel, for hosting.
  • Supabase, for the database.
  • Anthropic, whose model cleans up public-record text such as permit descriptions and reviews a digest before it is sent. It receives permit text and the digest body, never your email address or payment details.
  • Apify and county property appraiser portals, for enrichment: contractor business details, parcel records and owner contact details.

Public records and owner contact data

The permits are public records from county and city open-data portals, republished as-is. We add contractor business details from Google Maps, parcel facts from county property appraisers and, for owners who are people rather than companies, phone numbers and emails from third-party people-search data.

We deliver this to subscribers in their digest and dashboard, cache it for up to 180 days, and do not sell it or give it to anyone else. Public preview pages mask owner names and contact details. We never contact property owners ourselves; every email that shows an owner contact carries a disclaimer, and the subscriber is bound by the terms when using it.

If you are a property owner and want your details out of our cache, email hello@floridapermitalerts.com and we remove them.

Your choices

Cancel from the dashboard or from the Cancel link in any email footer; every email also carries a one-click unsubscribe. Cancelling stops the next charge and the digest.

To delete your account and data, email hello@floridapermitalerts.com from the subscribed address and we delete your record within 30 days; Stripe keeps the billing records the law requires. You can ask what we hold about you the same way.

How long we keep things

We keep your subscriber record, and the log of which digest went to which address and when, while your account exists, and delete both when you ask. Cached enrichment expires after at most 180 days. Stripe keeps billing records on its own schedule.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, rent our subscriber list or share your email with anyone other than the processors above. We send the digest you subscribed to and the emails needed to run your account: sign-in links, receipts and notice of changes to prices or terms.

Children

The service is for businesses. It is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children; if a child has given us data, email us and we delete it.
